Could some one please inform me how to:

Use a Notebook(wireless) connected to a Router(wireless/LAN) connected to a Desktop(two NIC cards LAN) connected to a Modem connected to the Internet

I have connectivity from Desktop to internet and have set up a network on the Router but cannot get the Laptop to use my Desktop's internet connection so if some one could step me through the process they would use maybe I can find the missing peices?!

I am using Windows XP Pro on both

Thank you!

there are a couple details I could use a little clarification on. What type of internet connection is the desktop using? What type/model of router do you have? Which internet service are you using? – Chris - Armor-IT Feb 17 '11 at 17:58
Internet is Telus HS ADSL through there broadband home wireless/4port setup that has lots of configurable and customizable options and settings (2 wire). Belkin N wireless router. – Iceking007 Feb 17 '11 at 20:01
If you were able to set up a network on the router, why can't you connect to it from the laptop? – Thiago M. Feb 17 '11 at 21:18
I have for all intense perposes two routers... one is a combined router/modem and the second is for my network my network connections were all running properly that is up until I started playing with all the settings and IP's. Now I am not alloud access to the respective systems for file share but network is still connected. What I need to do is have my Desktop 'share' it's internet connection through the second router to my network so that my laptop can access it. – Iceking007 Feb 17 '11 at 21:27
