Should I ditch this card and get a new one??

New behavior on old computer: scrolling a webpage up and down, dragging a video window around the screen, or using graphical apps like Google Earth makes my monitor reset just like it was turned off and on. Changed the resolution down to 1024, same thing.

This happens on XP (latest drivers) and Seven. Does not happen under W2003, because there is no NVidia drivers for 2003, so I use MS driver, which has a crappy performance and definition anyway.

The only other monitor I have available for testing is an old CRT. Instead of resetting, whenever you use the wheel to scroll fast or move a video window, the monitor shows noise on the borders of the screen.

Took the card out, installed it again making sure it´s correctly seated on the board... My motherboard has no onboard video to test with...

Should I get a new card?

I would get a new card either way, primarily because you can get a way better card for pocket change... however if you have sentimental attachments or no cash I would suggest testing the card in another computer and see if it reproduces the error. – Kyle Feb 22 '11 at 17:01
No sentimental attachment, but no cash either -or another suitable desktop computer to test the card-. I was hoping for a diagnostics program that could tell if shelling out the money for a new card was worth it... – AlVil Feb 23 '11 at 13:42
