I got into 3d animation when I was 12, and I had a 3d Max Studio and Bryce3d and later blender. but I stopped around 14 because it took forever to render any lengthy animations.

It was really exciting times, I manage to produce very short clips. Key by framed as I didn't know anything about animations beyond Hypercard.

anyways, back then my computer had a whopping 500mhz and 128mb ram. It took all day to render one small scene lasting 10 seconds.

so is this problem fixed? or is my option to wait all day for my 3d animations to render? Is there a cloud render farm?

I suspect the answer is that computers have become MUCH faster - the software has probably improved too. – Mick Mar 2 '11 at 10:04
