On my computer and also on my TV, when I turn on the digital TV, the TV guide is mainly blank (like it just has the channel, no information about the shows), until I actually go and select each channel. And then it'll show me the shows.

Is it possible to get the TV to refresh the tv guide so that i don't have to go to each channel just to see what's on? I'm in NSW, Australia if that helps.

This doesn't seem to be about computer hardware or software, unless you are requiring help with a certain TV tuner device for your PC or TV tuning software. – MaQleod Mar 3 '11 at 7:39

One of my friends had a problem like this where the built-in channel guide was blank for a few minutes after powering on. He resolved this by getting his cable unit replaced (the cable TV network confirmed that it was defective).
