Possible Duplicate:
Text Editor for very big file - Windows

I have some huge files I need to view with a text editor in windows. What is the best option. My favorite Notepad++ hangs. I tried gVim. It loads the file, but hangs on scrolling. I need an editor that loads progressively since some of the files cannot be fit in memory.

It's not a dupe of the first Q in the links as that is OSX-based. – Linker3000 Mar 3 '11 at 21:18

I hear that Large Text File Viewer is good for this:

Although it is not the best looking application out there it definitely does what it says it can do. – Diffuser Mar 3 '11 at 20:55

My favorite product here is V - The file viewer, which I believe is the best of its kind (20$, trial available). Portable version is also available.

I have used it to examine text files of several GB in size, but it can do much more.
