I'm looking for a new Time, Expense, and Billing software package, and wondering if folks could share ones they've liked using in the past. I mean the type of software a consulting, law, advertising, or pr firm would use to track and bill their services, which are usually charged by the hour.

I realize this type of application is not exciting, and probably one you forget about seconds after you use it. But perhaps you've used one that appeared intuitive and was easy-to-use? If not, please just respond with what you use now.

If you don't have a suggestion on a piece of software, I'd appreciate any suggestions on where else to look (besides "Search on Google.", of course)

I've been very impressed with Freshbooks so far. Right now I'm pairing it with Outright, although I don't have much experience with that so far.

(Full disclosure: the Freshbooks link is a referral link. However, I only thought to add it later - I still recommend the service, whether you use that link or not.)

I don't know of any good ones, but Maconomy is one of the worst pieces of software I have used, at least from as seen from the front-end (I haven't seen the back-end)

I've used Freshbooks for a couple years now and I love it.

Many of the people I work with use Sage's timeslips program for this. I don't have personal experience with it but based on the number of installations I've seen, it appears to be a popular product.
