1) My computer is connected to internet. I can not "ping" a web site like www.google.com or something like this.

2) My problem is: I cannot surf using internet Explorer. I get the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page." I uninstalled Internet Explorer 6.x and installed Internet Explorer 7.x. The problem remains the same. I installed Firefox and have the same problem.

I was surfing internet until yesterday and this problem happened this morning. I have been reading for answer on the web, nobody provided a correct solution.

3) I did not understand what the problem with browser. I have two other computers at my home, they are all working fine.

Can someone suggest me what to do?

In Internet Explorer Go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings. Make sure there are no proxy settings redirecting port 80, it is typical of malware to set up either false proxy settings or proxy settings that redirect you to AD sites.

Is it possible that port 443 is open and port 80 is blocked? That would account for it.

windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/… Try folowing the instructions to add port 80 as an open port on Windows firewall. It's pretty strange that the most common port is blocked. – Yitzchak Mar 22 '11 at 13:52
