What's the shortest way to post a cropped screenshot on the web?

I'm looking for an alternative to CloudApp on Mac. I've tried FluffyApp which hooks into the CloudApp server, but it's annoying. (Cropping is horrendously slow). Ideally it would just use DropBox as storage, like GrabBox on Mac. :)

1) Hold CRTL + PRNT SCRN
2) Choose cropping area
3) It automatically uploads and creates a URL shortcut in your paste clipboard.

Result: GrabBox or CloudApp.

If you using Windows 7 you could just use snipping tool and save it in your dropbox folder. If you save it in the public folder you can generate a link for it easily. – MrStatic Mar 23 '11 at 3:26
Far too much effort MrStatic :P If you're used to on-the-fly pasting screenshot links so people can keep up with what you're seeing. – Eric Muyser Mar 23 '11 at 6:13

If you are on windows 7 or Windows Vista you can use the snipping tool.

If you are still on Windows XP, please upgrade. If you can't, you can use an open source app called : Greenshot

I know that none of those is doing the last part, but you can still use dropbox and use the generated url in pretty easy way.
