I prefer "physical" keyboards, so I'm thinking of getting either a BlackBerry or a Nokia E63.

To make an informed choice, I need your feedback on what the Windows application is like to synchronize the cellphone with Windows.

The reason I ask, is because the application that comes with the Nokia XpresMusic cellphone is pure crap. It's ugly, clunky, and buggy.

If you have one of the above cellphone, can you tell me what the Windows app is like?

The question is regarding the software used to control these devices and not the phones themselves. Therefore it is valid. However if it becomes a comparison it will get closed. – Diago Aug 20 '09 at 20:34

I have an older blackberry (7130), but even with it, the sync is excellent. I can keep everything synchronized very easily and quickly in Windows and Ubuntu both (Though Ubuntu takes a bit more setup initially), along with being able to install and remove applications through the desktop software (in Windows) without a hitch.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll go for BlackBerry instead of the Nokia E73. – OverTheRainbow Aug 31 '09 at 11:06
Glad to help. After getting this blackberry, I can honestly say I'm staying with the brand for a long time. – Tom Aug 31 '09 at 15:09
BTW, appart from BBerry's Desktop Manager and MS Outlook, are there other desktop PIM's that can sync with a BBerry? – OverTheRainbow Oct 2 '09 at 11:00
I have no idea as I've never needed anything else. It is supposed to be possible to sync up with a linux box, but you'd have to do a bit of research to find out how to set that up. – Tom Oct 3 '09 at 3:15

If you are a Google user you can sync your calendar and contacts over the air with Google Sync.

I love this application.

I also use the GMail application to read my GMail account and provide two way syncing between my phone and my online account.

Yes, I drank the Google koolaid. It tasted just fine.

I just recently went from WinMo to BlackBerry and I can definitely see why so many people are addicted to their CrackBerries.
