This might seem like a basic question but I want to know why my blackberry phone does not charge when my mac is in standby, hibernate or sleep mode. Is there a way to charge my phone when the mac is in any of the above modes? I generally charge my phone overnight.

This doesn't directly solve your problem, but you should just get a USB power brick. They're cheap and actually really useful to have around. You can plug in ANY device that uses USB to charge. Here's one for 4 bucks, and you can get them way cheaper than that, too. The reason I'm suggesting this is I doubt you'll find a way to get the mac to do exactly what you want. Even if you do, you're better off leaving the settings alone to conserve the battery. | |||
