So when i run the liveCD with GNOME3 it does not run gnome-shell. I have also readed somewhere that GNOME3 will not run on low graphics cards. but i want to run GNOME3! –  microo8 Apr 7 '11 at 15:31
Error messages? Logs? Hardware information (dmesg etc)? –  mdm Apr 7 '11 at 15:42
so i have it installed by this page: askubuntu and running it with: gnome-shell --replace and a little while it shows (the panel and so), then it crashes and gets me back to GDM login screen, but i cant get the output from it. the command gnome-shell -v --replace > log gives me a empty file –  microo8 Apr 8 '11 at 9:07
