I know this is gonna sound overly simplistic to most of you out there, but I've literally never done anything of the kind, so I don't even know where to start. Or what to look for even.
I started a small startup, for the illustrative purposes let's say it's called JoesPizza. I would like to open up an internet domain, let's say joespizza.com or www.joespizza.com and have an email that ends with that domain. Have some preferences towards Google, for whom I hear offer such services and such, and who's interface I've grown used to over the years, since I have a personal account there as well, but that is not necessary.
The fact that they're free and rather good, is also appealing to me since I'm trying not to spend on where I don't have to.
I'm in a nutshell asking you, if you've done something like this - how to go about it? Where to start? Where to look, and what to do?
From what I've read, I could go to godaddy.com and register a domain there for a rather low price, and with that register a "google apps" email and services. Has anyone done this is particular? If he could explain the steps maybe?
p.s. I would also like someday to host a web on the same domain if possible, although I'm not sure whether I can accoplish this through google apps.
