I'd like to send email that meets the critieria of a gmail filter to an instant messenger account (ideally yahoo). I'd like to do this because my filter would pass several of these messages a day but I don't want to pay for unlimited text messaging. Yahoo's IM client on the iPhone has the same kind of notification system that SMS has. Wondering if this is possible and if so, how could I do it?

Questions on Super User are expected to generally relate to computer software or computer hardware, within the scope defined in the faq.

As far as I know, that's only possible if you can set up an e-mail address for Gmail to forward to.
