µTorrent

http://www.utorrent.com/

Because it's easy to use, not a resource hog, and is actively maintained.

I used to like Azerus, based on its interface, then they went and made it 'pretty' and I pretty much hate it, except that I managed to find a way to get back to the old interface. Stupid and a mistake on their part, from my perspective.

Yeah, it used to be Azureus. But they really ruined it. – a_hardin Jul 15 '09 at 16:33
It is amazing how badly they destroyed it too. Sort of boggled my mind the uselessness of the changes in the UI and how much it pissed me off! What on earth were they thinking? – geoffc Jul 15 '09 at 16:42
I use Azureus with the classic UI. The Vuze UI is optional. Or you're thinking about something else? – KovBal Jul 17 '09 at 14:37

I hear uTorrent (micro torrent) should be pretty good.. I don't use windows myself though, so I haven't really tried it.

uTorrent.

Small, quick, clean and feature rich.
