@Allov: You can post your issues, sure, but the way you do it (and comment) might greatly decrease your chance of having it answered and resolved. – Rabarberski Apr 29 '11 at 11:25

@Allov: Your second appearance on a site is probably not the best time to be telling regulars what you can and can't do. – Marcelo Cantos Apr 29 '11 at 11:37

You can format your hard drive from any other OS you choose to install to it - simply delete the old partitions, make a new partition layout, and carry on.

The process would probably involve parted, or cfdisk on *nixes.

On windows, pop in the disk, and let er rip as Harry Joy has said

If you simply want the old partition dead and gone, you can run dban on it for a properly, forensically secure wipe. I often do this anyway since occasionally windows won't install on a merely formatted ex-linux or windows drive, and i'd rather let a tool run overnight than risk having annoyances when i install.

If you have Windows installation disk [if not then you may have to buy it] then insert in your PC at boot time. Press any key when it asks and then just follow the setup steps.

you have to boot the cd, first you need to fix the bios set up make sure you choose the cd-rom as the first boot device, once the pc restarted it will say press any key to boot then press any key, just follow the steps after that. actually there are videos on youtube that shows how to reformat computers.

This is almost identical to harry joy's answer - perhaps you would consider editing it to add something unique to the answer? – Journeyman Geek Apr 30 '11 at 10:39
