Can anyone recommend a GUI tool that will allow me to send messages across the LAN using net send or Msg.exe as it now is on Windows 7.

At the office we used RealPopup for a long time and our IT still uses it for quick messages. Messages are sent over the net send so people without RealPopup installed get those as well. It seems that this tool hasn't been updated since 2005 and I don't know if it's available in english (german over here) but google should help here.

Let's see ... Net Send GUI?

That's an alternative to NET SEND which uses its own separate protocol. It's not a GUI for the NET SEND command. – Dave Webb Aug 23 '09 at 10:26

IT support is using dmessage. GUI is really simple and you can save templates.

I am already using dmessage in my office. It is a good product if you want to send alert messages but in a formal way, not a chat.

Did you try it?
