As a GUI alternative to "net send" to send IM between Windows hosts, I liked RealPopUp but the site is now gone: www.realpopup.it

I just checked Fomine NetSend, and while it's OK, messages are received in the familiar NetSend window instead of within the Fomine app. I know I can copy through CTRL-C, but I'd rather that the message be received within the app itself.

Does someone know of a good, maintained alternative? Ideally, one feature that RPU didn't have is to allow sending files, so I don't have to deploy the single-EXE Mongoose web server so users can share files easily.

Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback. I'd rather a server-less setup. – OverTheRainbow May 16 '11 at 7:59
