I installed Windows server 2008, enabled the virtualization and then add the Hyper V role. When I restart the PC it does not start? I was wondering what is happening there?

"does not start" - do you mean the PC or can you actually log on? What errors are you getting? At what point does it stop working? – kez May 28 '11 at 11:31

...if you add more details. how do you mean "does not start"? Does it not switch on? Does it not boot? Any beeps? Booms? No? – Sathya May 28 '11 at 15:34
You have to enable hyper-v under server roles once you login as an administrator. – typoknig May 28 '11 at 16:22

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. See the FAQ for guidance on how to improve it.

Do you have the Intel-VT or AMD-V virtualisation extensions on your CPU and are they enabled in the BIOS?

If you have, it looks like is some other hardware incompatibility, even though Hyper-V is compatible with just about everything with Windows drivers.
