I just read on article from 1995 which stated that one particular Monte Carlo Markov Chain simulation algorithm took 2 minutes to complete using a computer with 50Mhz processor from 1995. I started to wonder how much (little) time that same calculation would take using some computed used today. Any enlightened guesses?
