Sadly, none of the suggestions so far work. I can't save images from Maze Maker, and none of the others will generate mazes even close to big enough. – RCIX Aug 25 '09 at 21:26

Does it have to be a custom size?

Maze Maker at least lets you "make a maze"

Or Glass Giant where you have some difficulty levels

Or Delorie which also creates ASCII versions

I've used Maze Maker for younger siblings in the past. It's a CGI script with quickly generates a printable maze. Not exactly installable software, but I only needed it to print a few mazes. If I can do something without installing additional software I usually will.

Hm. As i'm looking for something that can be used in making a persona theme, what's the usage restrictions on this? – RCIX Aug 25 '09 at 6:27
From the FAQ: "Can I use the maze(s) I generated for...? Yes. I consider any maze generated by my programs to be public domain. I do appreciate a note of anything unique to be placed in the comments board, and even a reference to this site, but neither is required. " – John T Aug 25 '09 at 17:32

Peter's Maze Page is a nice resource. There, you can even find a maze generator in postscript: each time you print the file, you get a different maze.
