I have a Ubuntu server 11.04 VM that I've been running (and created) within VMware player 3.1.3 build-324285. Yesterday my host OS crashed (windows 7), now I cant run my VM from VMware player.

When I try and start the VM I get the following error message

Error while powering on: The file specified is not a virtual disk.

I'm not sure where to start fault finding this type of issue, any ideas?
