I've just noticed that they are several folders with Folder Name (2) created in different places on different drives. How do i find and clean up those duplicates and why they are there without being any notification that were created? And I was wondering, would the registry be messed up too?

Search for "(2)" would be a start. This happend because you had the folders in question selected and then moved your mouse about 30 pixels while still holding down the left button. | |||
