I have a machine that's used for burning DVD's from ISO masters. It has 3xSATA DVD's that I use to burn disks, 3 at a time with Nero.
It was working fine with some Sony DVD drives I had in there, but these reached then of their life and were replaced with Samsung SH-S223C drives.
In the new config, the burning is very slow (approx 6 times slower) and I get bad disks. With the Sony drives I had no trouble burning at 8x.
Each of the drives, on their own, can burn a disk at full speed.
Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L with the latest MB drivers. Device manager shows the DVD drives as Ultra DMA 5.
