I want to make an animation of a human in Autodesk 3DS max and I'm looking for a software that can sync mouth motion with a speech sound file. Does anybody know such a software?

In what? you haven't mentioned how you are creating an animation.

Blender is an open source, cross platform tool animation (among other things) tool. See the Lip Sync tutorial:
