Something has happened to my registry settings. I can open up regular csproj files but I am unable to open up vdproj (Setup Projects) in VS 2010. I get the following error:

"xxxxxxx.vdproj : error : The application for the project is not installed"

I tried to do a repair, but every time I go to the Programs and Features to start the uninstall I get the following problem:

"A problem has been encountered while loading the setup components. Canceling setup."

I have tried running directly from the install DVD and I get the same error. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. And if this type of question doesn't belong here, if you could point me to the right place. Thanks.

System Config: Windows 7 (64-bit) , Visual Studio 2010
