I want to know how to connect HTC Desire S with Windows XP, but not with bluetooth - with Wi-Fi through router. I also want to know how to add smartphone to Windows' Network Places to bookmark internal and external memory data.

Essentially an Android question again. In order to do what you want, you need some kind of Android app, there's no generic way for a smartphone to do that. You do know that there is Android Enthusiasts? Have you done some research before, like, maybe search for what you want? Take a look at swiFTP – slhck Jun 16 '11 at 8:02

Questions on Super User are expected to generally relate to computer software or computer hardware, within the scope defined in the faq.

I may assume too much, but the Android HTCs does not have a builtin SMB feature. So even if you can connect one to a WiFi router, you won't see it appear as a computer in Network, nor have access to it by IP.

Maybe you can find an application that provide you SMB file sharing to be able to do that. Ask http://android.stackexchange.com/ for more information.
