I have been using MySql on a Ubuntu machine. I recently needed to connect this machine to a windows network to access a shared drive on the network. The networking guy at our office set up the connection. He said my machine had a static IP and he had to change it to a dynamic IP before connecting it to the network. Now I'm not able to login to my MySql Server. What is worng?

What does the error message say? – Benjamin Morel Jun 16 '11 at 11:05
What about firewall on the MySQL server? Maybe it only accepts connections from your previous static address. – KovBal Jun 16 '11 at 13:53
Can you still connect to the machine itself? If not: Just the IP changed. Ask the office guy for the new IP address ;-) – binfalse Jun 16 '11 at 13:59
@Benjamin: Could not connect to host '' MySQL Error Nr. 2003 Can't connect to MySQL server on ' (110) Click the 'Ping' button to see if there is a networking problem. – Shyam Natraj Kanagasabapathy Jun 17 '11 at 0:33
