I have been using MySql on a Ubuntu machine. I recently needed to connect this machine to a windows network to access a shared drive on the network. The networking guy at our office set up the connection. He said my machine had a static IP and he had to change it to a dynamic IP before connecting it to the network. Now I'm not able to login to my MySql Server. What is worng?

What about firewall on the MySQL server? Maybe it only accepts connections from your previous static address. – KovBal Jun 16 '11 at 13:53

Can you still connect to the machine itself? If not: Just the IP changed. Ask the office guy for the new IP address ;-) – binfalse Jun 16 '11 at 13:59
