With two systems

a) Windows XP Pro running on a P4 845GBV board b) Windows 7 x86_64 Pro running on P7P55D-E Pro

Both systems share io using a 2-port KVM MT-270S.

The Windows 7 box goes to sleep in power-saving mode for some user accounts. When plugged in directly, any keyboard activity would trigger a wake event, and the monitor would come to life. Keyboard activity through the KVM gets the hard drive activity LED active, but the monitor continues to remain dead for this computer. The other computer continues to work good.

Cycling the KVM switch does not resolve this issue ... the only thing that seems to work is to hard reboot the Windows 7 box at the cost of losing some work. This brings up the question - Is there any action I may take to wake the monitor independently?
