I just bought my mac Mini. I bought a [usb, usb,VGA] KVM, which may have proved insufficient.

It takes the 2 USB signals in, and only sends one usb cable to the MAC (which can't seem to receive both signals through one cable?, one of the devices doesn't work)

The mac Mini video connection I'm using is mini DVI to DVI, which means I can't go through a VGA KVM (As its a special type of DVI apparently),

So do I need a KVM with a DVI video port? And has anyone had issues with Mac receiving keyboard&mouse through one USB cable from KVM ?

I also noticed I probably need to get a mac keyboard (so i have the apple key), is this generally how people setup a KVM system? I'm hoping the mac keyboard won't cause a problem on my PC e.t.c

Thanks!!!

Stack Overflow isn't really the proper forum for this kind of question. Considering that you are looking for a KVM to be used with a Mac mini, I would consider speaking to a Genius at your local Apple Store. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to tell you what equipment you need and get it running. – rjacks Jun 21 '11 at 4:28
