I have Geforce GT 540m card in my laptop, But I cannot use stereoscopic 3D, and if i disable the integrated graphics card, the Geforce card stops working. It says "GPU Not connected.".

How can i fix this? How do i enable stereoscopic 3D? How can i use Geforce GT 540m as my primary graphics as opposed to integrated graphics?

My nvidia panel is not showing stereoscopic 3d options.

The processor is an i7 2630qm 2nd generation

I am using windows 7 home premium sp1 64 bit

So actual question is:

Is my nvidia card being using by the system? How can i activate stereoscopic 3d?

Not sure why you can't enable stereoscopic 3d but I can tell you that's an optimus card so it works with the integrated card. So if aren't using any direct x cable or graphic intensive programs your laptop will shut down the 540m and use the integrated for your day to day use like flash and aero. Have you tried checking under the advanced view? You also might need to white list the application you are trying to use so optimus knows to switch on the 540m. Keep in mind optimus is very buggy, I regret purchasing my optimus laptop... – Kyle Jun 22 '11 at 18:14

For my laptop it is in the Nvidia control panel after you enable advanced mode in the view menu. – Kyle Jun 23 '11 at 2:18
