I'm using tesseract-ocr for a long time, but, it doesn't work so well. I found this site (http://www.onlineocr.net/default.aspx) that works great.
Someone knew another OCR software, maybe free?

Among open source - tesseract is the best you can find. Here's comparison: http://www.scanstore.com/Scanning/Document_Imaging/Software/OCR_Software/ If it's quality is still not enough for you, look for commertial tools. There is lot of them for different tasks. Here's first what Google gives for "OCR Software comparison": http://www.scanstore.com/Scanning/Document_Imaging/Software/OCR_Software/ However, you better do your own research based on task you are going to solve. I've found Tesseract to have one of the highest recognition rates myself, but I've also taken the time to train it to recognize a whole pile of additional fonts. Take a look at http://code.google.com/p/tesseract-ocr/wiki/TrainingTesseract3 for how to do that. | |||
