Is there any way to customize keyboard shortcuts for current chromium browser? Because I use dvorak keyboard, I often bump ctrl+w when i meant ctrl+v , with disastrous results.

In firefox browser i can do this with nice 'keyconfig' add-on, but i prefer to use chromium.

You can use either Chrome Keyconfig or Shortcut manager.

@wim, ‽‽‽ Chrome and Chromium are the same thing. The only significant difference is that Chrome has an auto-update function. Any extension that works on one should work on the other. Exactly what problem are you experiencing? –  Synetech Jun 30 '11 at 1:51

they have other significant differences, eg chrome and chromium have a very different licence, newer features and beta stuff appears in chromium.. both popped up with an error when i tried to install them, but they seem to be working anyway. unfortunately the ctrl+w one is greyed out, which is the one i wanted to remap?! –  wim Jun 30 '11 at 3:54

Right now the best keyboard navigation extension for Chromium or Chrome is called Vimium, which you can use to easily switch tabs, etc. but also you can fully navigate the web just from the keyboard. The above links to their Chrome store page, which features a nice video demo.
