I want to setup a raid 5 system for video editing. Can I take advantage of the newer sata III raid cards that sit in a PCIe 2 slot without degrading performance to my video card? This system will have just 1 GPU (gtx 480 or gtx 560 ti), and I want to still have my GPU running at full 16x on the motherboard. Can I put the 3ware 9750 in the 3rd PCIe2 slot and have it run at sata III speeds or would it not be worth the extra $$ and should I just buy the 9650SE?

3ware 9650SE-4LPML http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816116076

OR

3ware Internal 9750-4i http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816116109

for this motherboard?

ASRock P67 EXTREME4

I will also buy the BBU for write cache performance gain. I am new to raid as this will be my first system with a hardware supported card.

Appreciate it.
