This question is not about just changing the display format, that is eazy enough. The problem is one of my clients entire contact book(2000+ contacts) is now shown by "last name, first nam". if I look in the settings it's set to "first name last name" changing the settings for the entire contact book will do nothing, the only way to revert them back to "first name last name" is changing them to "last name, first name" and then changing them back to "first name last name", ONE AT A TIME!

So my question is this; How do I stop this from happening, or is there a way to easily revert them back to "first name last name"?

Which version of Outlook are you using? This is odd, because the views are generated independent of the datasource. At least that is the case if you write addons & macros for Outlooks. – surfasb Jul 5 '11 at 7:06

You could try exporting them to CSV and check that the First and Last name are in the right places data wise, if they are then it'll be a viewing preference in Outlook. – Ruairi Fullam Jul 5 '11 at 8:35
