I'm searching for a plugin that would allow me to set automatic responses in pidgin. These responses should be triggered by regular expressions in a conversation. Pretty much like anwering machine plus does for msn plus, I would like to have that functionality in pidgin.
I don't know if the description is clear, I hope so, there should be a term for this but I could not find it, it's not as complex as a conversational bot, but it's similar.
Alternatively, if there was a decent explanation about how to do an echo service, or a plugin that does that (every time a user says something the plugin sends him back a message containing the same text and displays it in the conversation window) then I could modify it to work with regular expressions (I guess).
I could not find any of those two.
