I have a drive that I need to connect to a windows vista machine. This drive is connected via a cat5 cable and the only way for this drive to be seen by windows is to change the policy (Computer Configuration->Windows Settings->Security Settings->Local Policies->Security Options->Microsoft network client: Digitally sign communications (always)) from enabled to disabled and reboot the machine to get the setting to 'catch'. When I'm done using the drive I have to re-enable this policy and re-boot the machine again. I have a script that automatically sets this policy but I'm trying to figure out how to get this to work without rebooting. I tried gpupdate /force but it doesn't work. Does anyone know of a workaround to this or am I just out of luck on this one?

Thanks, Sam.
