I use Firefox 4.0.1 on Windows-7 -X64. When any webpage has a URL link, and if I move mouse pointer over it, that URLs address is not seen at the bottom (Status bar) of the Firefox.

Tried disabling few addons but no success.

What could be problem?

Whats the fix?

Check preferences>Content>Enable Javascript>Advanced. Is "change Status Bar Text" checked? – Kevin Jul 10 '11 at 17:36
FYI: 4.0.1 is outside of security support (EOL) now and has known remotely exploitable security vulnerabilities. Upgrade to the most recent released version, or downgrade to latest 3.6.x (which is being supported for a little while longer). – Stephanie Jul 10 '11 at 17:53
