Mail has been sitting here unresponsive now for a few hours. I understand that the rule i'm applying to IMAP will take some time but I have no status bar in the "mail activity" box like I do when I'm sending emails.

How do I tell weather its working or its frozen? I cant quit, only force quit, and when I do and restart, it sits unresponsive again (maybe its picking up where it left off??)

How do I enable logging for Mail so i can see this in mail.log. I don't see anything useful in there now. Maybe increase the verbosity?

I'm trying to apply mark-as-read and delete to 900k erroneous emails. I have a very fast connection so it shouldn't be a problem.

Why mark as read if you're going delete anyway? – Daniel Beck Jul 11 '11 at 19:40
