I have email hosting on GoDaddy servers and I am trying to set up Thunderbird to access the email using imap. I can set the account up fine and I never get any warnings regarding password incorrect or anything like that. When I go to manage folder subscriptions it shows all of the folders available on the server, but when I tick them it doesn't retrieve the emails in those folders and if I close and reopen the window they are no longer ticked. The account settings are correct because I have identical settings in my iPhone and they work and I also tried it in Opera Mail and it was fine.
I am using Thunderbird 5.0, any ideas what is wrong and how I can get my emails to download without using pop?
