I have an asus p5q motherboard.

My computer recovers from hibernation and it unfortunately issues a windows warning indicating that windows has failed from recovering from hibernation.

It then allows me to reboot and the default bios boot up. All my bios settings including my raid setup is no longer. It forgets which is my boot drive and that my raid array drive is set to raid 1 and loads my hard drives as IDE.

What i've done:

  • I've tried to recover by putting in the same settings again. But now windows is unable to boot. It forces me to start the startup recovery in which it tries to fix it and then it fails.

What i have not done:

  • Installed new hardware
  • Installed new software or operating systems

I know you are probably going to ask about my hardware which i'm not totally sure if it's relevant but thus:
My computer is self built - Intel core 2 duo 2.4ghz - 8 gb ram 866mhz - A pair of 1tb hard drive (previously at raid 1) now the bios thinks it's raid 0

Anyone knows what might be the cause of this? Additionally, is it possible to recover from a resetted bios settings: converting my raid harddrive back to it's original settings (raid 1 instead of raid 0).
