There are many users with the following problem across recent years (on many hardware and OS combinations):
The device is in use by another application
Has anyone got an idea how to track down what devices are used by what processes?
Ideally, that would be a small diagnostic utility, using the Terminal. Can lsof find something suitable? I could not find anything in Photo Booth that looked like the camera so I guess it all routes via some framework/API?
