Building one from scratch is tough, maintaining a legacy system is costly. Is there any software or SAAS that can do:

  • account tracking (CMS?)
  • subscription based billing (subscription to a plan)
  • invoicing
  • payment (charge creditcards, fraud reduction/filtering, PCI-compliant?)
  • helpdesk (issue tracking, email notifications)

Thank you.

Sounds almost like you are looking for CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

Have you investigated Salesforce?

This is more for IT-specific companies, but it seems to have a lot of the features you want: ConnectWise. Be warned, it is pretty expensive.

I think you know a few more, can you list them out anyway? Thank you! – Henry Jul 20 '11 at 0:14
Just watched their demo, it doesn't do monthly recurring billing... – Henry Jul 20 '11 at 0:44
Wow, I am surprised. I really thought it did. – KCotreau Jul 20 '11 at 0:50
It is more like... track how much time spent, then charge the client for it. That's for consultant time-based billing, not recurring billing for subscriptions... ya.. sucks – Henry Jul 20 '11 at 1:42
oh, just found out there's saasy.com . – Henry Jul 20 '11 at 2:07
