Folks: My HP DV5T series laptop, after 2 years of being able to dock (using docking stand) to an external monitor, today, stopped generating a signal to the monitor. I've tried a) rebooting (twice), 2) power-cycling the monitor: diagnostics:

auto detect(analog signal) auto detect - entering power save

All without success.enter image description here

I've assumed you've tried to plug in the monitor to the VGA port to figure out if it is the doc or the computer? – surfasb Jul 20 '11 at 17:58
