I'm looking around to see if there is any software that would provide overly icons for files in network locations to (for example) indicate if the current file is public or not (everyone or guests group can read).
To see what i'm talking about, look at TortoiseSvn overlay icons. It shows the status of files and folders. I'm looking for something that would provide a visual feedback of file permission status.
I'm aware that it's impossible to represent all permissions, because usually you have groups and users with various permissions. But something configurable to represent that if Everyone or Domain users have access to, overlay a green icon, but if only i or admins have access, overlay something like a lock (a private file).
