I am pulling out my hair trying to figure this one out in MS Project Professional 2010, and I figure by asking here it will prevent someone else in the future from pulling out their hair!

For a particular project I am working on, there are 6 resources (people), each with different allowed working times. The project calls for this so here is the breakdown...

For 3 people:

  • Standard weekday worktimes from 08:00AM-12:00PM and 01:00PM-05:00PM @ Rate-01
  • Additional weekday worktimes from 07:00PM-09:00PM @ Rate-02
  • Saturday worktimes from 10:00AM-12:00PM @ Rate-03

For the other 3 people:

  • Standard weekday worktimes from 08:00AM-12:00PM and 01:00PM-05:00PM @ Rate-01

I have managed to create 2 new calendars under Project [TAB] > Change Working Time for the 2 different groups of people. Then under View [TAB] > Resource Sheet, I have entered all of the people working on the project and changed their Base Calendars appropriately. However, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to assign different Rates to the different worktimes.

I'm really hoping that someone with some MS Project experience can help me out.
