I installed the 5.2 version of Safari. On trying to run it, safari.exe and another file, something like webkittowebprocess.exe between them consumed about 96% of cpu resources, and didn't successfully load anything.

I tried disabling the dns prefetch which had been flagged on an apple.com support forum for 5.1, but that didn't help.

Other browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE) all ran fine.

I run Vista Business (or whatever it's called) with sp1 on a Sony Vaio.

Did anyone with the same problem find a workaround?
