lan message under windows seven? [closed]

I want to use the netsend command to send a message from my machine to another in a local network.

I used Netsend before but it disapeared under Windows7.

I know that netsend is no longer valid in Windows 7, so what can I use to communicate with an alternative netsend ?

You could use msg.exe , but only if you have the ultimate or the business edition . I guess you can download it too but am not sure if its entirely legal .
Another option that I have often used is ipmessenger , but it would need the tool to be available on both the machines .
