My OS is XP Pro and I am using Word 2007.
I am trying to copy Word text that has been formatted to a client specific style which includes heading level auto numbering. I need to paste it into a document that also has heading level auto numbering but the numbering is different. When I paste from the source document into the destination document the heading level numbering changes all numbers to bullets.

I tried the following solution, without success:
Click on the round office icon found at the top left hand corner of the msword window. Then click on Word options, bottom right of drop down window. Now go to the advanced tab. In this window you will find a cut copy and paste section. Here you can select how word handles things that have been pasted. Click on the drop down boxes and select "keep source formating" .
Is there a different fix for this problem? Thanks!
