A couple of months ago I was using IE and Skype as I usually do but suddenly Skype froze, I had a BSOD, and my Toshiba Satellite crashed. I booted into Safe Mode which works fine except for audio and a few other things. However in Normal mode, it starts up but takes about five minutes to load and for all the icons to reappear. Once it has finished starting up the machine restarts again and after startup everything goes black.

I tried uninstalling Skype in Safe Mode but it doesn't work. I'd try debuggers and other potential solutions if only the normal mode would start but it doesn't. IE is not working as well in Safe Mode with Networking.

I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions?

What version of Windows are you running? Have you installed all of the updates available from Windows Update? – akseli Jul 28 '11 at 8:19
Windows 7 Home and it was updated before the crash, but after, it wasn't possible. – Sumaiya Jul 28 '11 at 9:06
