Assuming a CPU consumes 60W, how much of this energy is actualy used to "make calculation" and how much of this energy will became mere heating?

Oh - why is it closed? related to computer ... hardware and not open ended, but answerable, imho. Sorry - I can't vote to reopen, too low on reputation. 60W for a single CPU? My whole laptop only consumes that much, including display. – user unknown Jul 28 '11 at 22:20
